Further volume reduction after dewatering #
Dewatered sludge may still contain 70%–85% moisture. Dryers reduce moisture and volume further, lowering transport and disposal costs. Yuan Chang offers six series distinguished by heating method, batch or continuous operation, sludge type, and capacity.
Official category page: Sludge Drying Treatment Equipment

CDB Series — Low-temperature dehumidification batch sludge dryer #
The CDB Series uses low-temperature dehumidification in batch mode for dewatered sludge cake. The official specification table lists CDB-200U through CDB-1000U, with batch capacity of 200–1,000 L/24hr (75%→40%), drying temperature around 35–70°C, and power consumption around 0.3–0.55 kWh per kg of water removed. It handles organic or inorganic sludge from filter presses, belt presses, volute presses, screw presses, or centrifuges.
CD Series — Low-temperature dehumidification continuous sludge dryer #
The CD Series combines low-temperature dehumidification with continuous processing. The official specification table lists CD-100 through CD-4000, with capacity of 100–4,000 L/hr (85%/75%→40%), daily capacity around 2.4–96 m³/24hr, drying temperature around 35–70°C, and power consumption around 0.3–0.55 kWh per kg of water removed. It handles organic or inorganic sludge with up to about 85% moisture, depending on sludge type and moisture content.
CHB Series — Hot-air batch sludge dryer #
The CHB Series uses hot-air drying in batch mode, mainly for inorganic sludge. The official specification table lists CHB-500 through CHB-5000T, with batch capacity of 500–5,000 L/8hr (75%→40%), heat sources including steam, waste heat, or electric heat, and drying temperature around 100–150°C.
CH Series — Hot-air continuous sludge dryer #
The CH Series uses hot-air drying in continuous mode for organic or inorganic sludge. The official specification table lists CH-100 through CH-4000, with capacity of 100–4,000 kg/hr (85%/75%→40%), daily capacity around 2.4–96 ton/24hr, heat sources including steam, waste heat, or electric heat, and drying temperature around 100–150°C.
KC Series — Tower sludge dryer #
The KC Series uses a tower-type drying chamber for continuous processing. The official specification table lists KC-200 through KC-2000, with capacity of 200–2,000 kg/hr (85%→40%), daily capacity around 4.8–48 ton/24hr, steam or heat-transfer-oil heating, and drying temperature around 100–180°C. Tower chamber diameter is 1,200–2,000 mm with 4–12 layers.
KV Series — Agitated heat-conduction batch sludge dryer #
The KV Series uses agitated heat conduction in batch mode for larger sludge volumes. The official specification table lists KV-3TD through KV-54TD, with batch capacity around 1–22.5 ton/8hr (75%–85%→40%), daily capacity around 3–67.5 ton/24hr, steam or heat-transfer-oil heating, and drying temperature around 100–150°C.
Selection note #
Dryer selection depends on sludge type (organic or inorganic), initial and target moisture content, daily throughput, available heat source, site space, and power conditions. Each official series page provides a standard specification comparison table and notes that customization is available. Actual capacity and suitability should be confirmed with Yuan Chang and, where necessary, through on-site testing.
